New Obama Ad Slams Romney on Outsourcing (Watch Video)

The Obama campaign released a new ad in nine states, including Pa, hammering Romney on outsourcing jobs during his business career.

The ad, titled “Believes” hones in on one central message, Romney outsourced jobs and Obama insourced jobs.

The ad starts by attacking Romney for outsourcing jobs to low-wage countries during his tenure at Bain Capital. It follows these attacks by praising Obama for keeping jobs in the U.S. by saving the auto-industry and giving tax cuts to companies that keep jobs here.

The Romney campaign said if you look at the job creation records of the two, it’s clear who the better choice is this November.

“The Obama campaign continues to try to mislead voters with ads that independent fact checkers have repeatedly proven to be false.“ said Romney spokesperson Kate Meriwether in an email.” We are happy to put Governor Romney’s record of job creation in the private sector, and as Governor, up against President Obama’s any day. Spending millions of dollars on untrue ads won’t change the fact that President Obama’s policies have left more than 23 million Americans struggling for work.”

FactCheck.org also came out with a statement against Obama’s outsourcing claims:

“After reviewing numerous corporate filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, contemporary news accounts, company histories and press releases, and the evidence offered by both the Obama and Romney campaigns, we found no evidence to support the claim that Romney, while he was still running Bain Capital, shipped American jobs overseas.”

Despite these fact-check releases, Pennsylvanians will likely continue to see how both Obama and Romney plan their economic attacks.

New Obama campaign ads will continue to chip away at Romney’s business record, and Americans for Prosperity released their first ad in Pennsylvania last week. They attacked the President for Obamacare and its individual mandate tax, which the organization said people who are already struggling financially cannot afford.

  1. Why does Keith the candidate Rothfus, support the oursourcing of Western PA jobs? Not everyone has a wife with a trust fund to support their eternal crusade to return to the Beltway!
