New Poll Shows Callahan Closing on Dent with just 20 days until the Election

BETHLEHEM, PA. – On Monday, October 18th, Vice President Joe Biden will return to the Lehigh Valley to lend his support for Mayor John Callahan’s campaign. Earlier this week, the DCCC released a poll from Grove Insight showing the race in PA-15 to be “statistically tied” at 43-45%. Voters in the Lehigh Valley have started paying closer attention to this election and as a result, Congressman Dent’s lead has been steadily declining. With Biden’s return to the Lehigh Valley combined with the news that Callahan is closing on Dent’s lead, the momentum in this election has started to shift.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming Joe Biden back to the Lehigh Valley to support our campaign,” said Mayor John Callahan. “The hard work of thousands of grassroots supporters across the Valley is starting to pay off and it will make the difference come Election Day.”

“Joe Biden is coming back to the Lehigh Valley to support Mayor Callahan because Congressman Dent is the most vulnerable Republican incumbent in the country,” said Justin Schall, Callahan for Congress Campaign Manager. “As voters become more and more familiar with Congressman Dent’s record of bailing out Wall Street and helping corporate special interests that caused the recession, voters are rejecting Charlie Dent.”
