For Our Future PA Launches Digital Ad Campaign About Philly Schools: The Pennsylvania operation of the nation’s “largest super PAC devoted to grassroots Democratic turnout,” launched a digital ad campaign in Philadelphia aimed at “raising awareness and garnering thousands of petition signatures” to “hold Harrisburg Republicans accountable for their inaction on Philadelphia’s public school safety crisis.”

Shira Goodman Steps Down as CeaseFirePA Executive Director: In a press release on Thursday, Goodman announced that she will be stepping down at the end of the year from the group known as the state’s “leading gun violence prevention organization.” Goodman, who was at the helm of the group since 2012, will take over the role of Regional Director, Philadelphia Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League. 

Legislative Election Update: 

SD-45: Nicole Ziccarelli, a lawyer and former clerk for a Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas judge, announced that she is launching a GOP bid for the seat held by state Sen. Jim Brewster (D-Allegheny). 

HD-167: State Rep. Kristen Howard (D-Chester) sent out an email on Wednesday announcing her intentions to seek re-election.
