Washington, PA

“In this corner of Pennsylvania, Democratic fortunes have been waning for a decade or two. Yet Democrats in Southwest Pennsylvania say they saw some early signs that 2022 was going to be a good year for their party – at a time when most people in the national political discussion were expecting significant Republican gains.

While neither John Fetterman nor Josh Shapiro won every county in Southwest Pennsylvania, they generally held their own – and then some – in an area with the type of blue-collar demographics that has been unfavorable to recent Democratic candidates.” (PoliticsPA)

Thriller Turns 40

Thriller (album) - Wikipedia

Forty years ago today, Michael Jackson released his landmark album, “Thriller.”

Remember songs such as Billie Jean, Thriller, PYT, Beat It, Human Nature, Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin, The Girl Is Mine (with Paul McCartney)

And the video … Jackson was the first artist whose music video was actually, a movie, directed by an actual famous movie director John Landis

  1. Thriller was an amazing accomplishment. Maximized MTV exposure and brilliant production and songwriting and musicianship. Michael’s eccentric style at times eclipsed Thriller’s genius but long run it has stood the test of time. Vincent Price was a great addition to Thriller.

  2. I think for Nina Ahmad will replace Helen Gym in the City Council in her At Large Council seat and she’ll probably win in her 3rd try in a political office.
