November 8th Playbook

Roll Call places Rep. Scott Perry as the 10th most vulnerable House incumbent seeking reelection in 2020, while the NRCC adds Lisa Scheller as the first Pennsylvanian candidate this cycle to “on the radar” in their Young Gun program. Here is the Playbook.

Roll Call: Perry Listed as 10th Most Vulnerable House Incumbent: The ratings outlet cites Perry narrowly winning reelection in a district that is not as conservative as the old 4th District.

Scheller Added To NRCC “On The Radar” In Young Gun Program: The GOP hopeful for the 7th Congressional District is described by the NRCC as “fiscally conservative fighter” who has advocated for “spending restraint, lower taxes, job creation and an end to special-interest giveaways.”

Legislative Election Update:

HD-20: Emily Marburger, the Mayor of Bellevue who announced that she was intending to launch a primary bid in September for the state’s 20th House District against incumbent state Rep. Adam Ravenstahl (D-Allegheny), announced on Thursday that she is no longer considering joining the race. Ravenstahl still has one primary challenger as of now with Brighton Heights lawyer, Emily Kinkead.

  1. Scheller is out of step with Lehigh County and, too bad for her, the pretzel shaped redistricting specials developed by State Senate and State House leadership will not prevail this round of redistricting so her congressional ambitions may need to be put on reserve for now.
