October 21st Playbook

President Donald Trump rallied supporters in Erie on Tuesday night, while former President Barack Obama will campaign for Biden in Philly today. Here is the Playbook. 

Rasmussen Poll: Biden 50, Trump 45: Biden leads Trump by 5 points among likely voters in the state. Biden leads by just 3 points, 50%-to-47%, when those who are leaning towards one candidate over the other are taken into consideration. Among the 89% of all voters who have already made up their minds of who they’re going to vote for, Biden leads Trump by 7 points, 53%-to-47%.

Exclusive Perry/NRCC Poll: Perry 48, DePasquale 44: The survey conducted by the Tarrance Group shows Rep. Scott Perry leading Democrat Eugene DePasquale by 4 points. The polling didn’t include head-to-head numbers between President Donald Trump and former VP Joe Biden in the 10th Congressional District.

Report: Biden Campaign Considering Dent for Possible Cabinet Position: According to a Politico report on Tuesday morning, former Congressman Charlie Dent is “among the names” of a few Republicans “being floated for possible Biden Cabinet posts.”

AARP Poll: PA Voters 50 and Up Lean Biden 50, Trump 47: Biden leads Trump by 17 points among likely voters 65-plus, while Trump has a 6 point advantage over Biden among likely voters between the ages of 50-to-64 years of age in the state.

Trump Rallies in Erie: President Donald Trump led a rally in Erie on Tuesday night, the Erie Times-News reports. 

Donald Trump Jr. Campaigned in Blair and Centre Counties: On Tuesday, Donald Trump Jr. made campaign appearances in State College and Hollidaysburg, StateCollege.com and the Altoona Mirror report.

Obama To Campaign For Biden in Philly: Former President Barack Obama will be campaigning on behalf of the Biden campaign in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Karen Pence To Campaign in Lancaster County: According to a release from the Trump campaign, Second Lady Karen Pence will be campaigning in Lancaster County on Wednesday.

Eric Trump To Campaign in Beaver County: According to a release from the Trump campaign, Eric Trump will be campaigning in Beaver County on Thursday.  

Sanders To Campaign for Biden in PA: According to a release from the Biden campaign, Sen. Bernie Sanders will be campaigning in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

  1. PA House failing to override Wolf’s restaurant capacity vote is big news. Republican obstructionists in House and Senate Leadership have turned Covid and public health into a political football. Whether or not Republican Senate and House leadership in PA wants to admit it we are in a once in a 100 year viral pandemic that Wolf is doing the best he can to address to protect the public. Wolf did not cause the pandemic nor did he botch the handling of it.

  2. Trump did not want to be in Erie. Erie did not want him there either. So why did he come? To insult people in Erie?
