PA-10: Harper Poll: Marino 58%, Brion 22% Troiano 10%

Tom-MarinoWith a week and a half until election day, Republican Rep. Tom Marino looks to have solidified his hold on PA’s 10th, according to a recent Harper Poll.

Of likely voters polled, 58% would vote for the incumbent, 22% for Democratic nominee Scott Brion and 10% for Independent candidate Nick Troiano, if the election was held today.

Marino’s strong performance was fueled by his favorability among his own party (82%) and job approval (51% approve, 35% disapprove).

The incumbent would also be projected to garner 33% of the Democratic vote, compared to only 45% for Brion, and 44% among independents, more than twice the 20% that supports independent candidate Troiano.

Working to Marino’s favor, greater than 50% of voters have no opinion of Brion and Troiano, a referenda on the candidates lack of notoriety in the district. Instead, 52% of voters have a favorable image of their current Congressman.

Ryan Barton, the Republican’s campaign manager seemed overwhelming confident following the results.

“It’s encouraging to see the voters of the 10th District recognize the hard work Tom has put in on their behalf,” Barton said. “They see he’s been on the front lines battling for their interests – they are standing with him.”

The poll sampled 763 likely voters through an Interactive Voice Response automated phone survey. The margin of error is +/-3.55%.

  1. Marino campaign manager Ryan Barton is operating under a assumed identity. His real name is Ryan O’Barto. After he plagiarized and stole campaign funds from GOP candidates in Idaho he moved to Pennsylvania and changed his name from Ryan O’Barto to Ryan Barton. Tom Marino is a crooked mafioso who probably found Barton / O’Barto in the federal witness protection program.

  2. This ridiculous “poll” should have been taken after tonight’s televised debate. Marino usually needs no help making himself look pathetic. Nick Troiano “cleaned his clock.” Brion came in second…

Barton: There was no metal detector at the gate…..

  3. Marino represents everything that is wrong with this gridlocked government and his constituents are too blind and or too stupid to look past their partisan incompetence to see it. It’s really a damn shame, and this is coming from a registered republican

  4. Wait, this article is reporting a pulse of the 10th district from a population of only 763 respondents!? How does this small sample size even constitute a poll?

Ryan Barton is drinking the GOP kool aid and too focused on nonsensical political moves like emailing Nick Troiano “threats” using Facebook.

Barton & Marino represent everything WRONG with politics today.

  5. Constituents in the 10th must be some of the least politcally active or knowledgeable in the country
