PA-12: Rothfus Releases First TV Ad (VIDEO)

Congressman Rothfus’ campaign released their first thirty-second spot aimed at veterans who do not feel as though the government, specifically the VA, is supporting them.

The advertisement, titled “Not Alone”, is set in a boxing club based out of Baden, PA. It features a group of veterans sitting around in a circle and having a discussion with Congressman Rothfus. It starts off with several veterans describing the issues they have faced on their return from service:

“The veterans are having difficulty enjoying the American Dream they fought to protect.”

“We’ve seen things that no one should see.”

“It’s just always there.”

Then Congressman Rothfus enters the conversation, saying, “There are some wounds that only God can heal. In the meantime, we gotta make sure we’re doing everything we can at the VA. We have a moral obligation to stand with you, cause you stood with us.”

Rep. Rothus’ opponent is Democratic nominee Erin McClelland.

The 12th Congressional District consists of all of Beaver County, and parts of Allegheny, Cambria, Lawrence, Somerset, and Westmoreland Counties.

  1. Does the spot mention how, in an open House hearing, Rothfus tried to excuse Wells Fargo because there were “only 80,000” fradulent accounts in PA? Direct quote. Erin should blast that Youtube all over the net.
