Today Bill Shuster’s campaign announced that Congressman Mark Meadows, a founding member of the conservative House group the Freedom Caucus, is endorsing Congressman Shuster’s reelection campaign.
“Congressman Shuster is the type of conservative leader we need in Washington,” said the North Carolina Congressman. “I am proud to stand with him in the fight to defeat President Obama’s agenda.”
“I am encouraged by the support of rock solid conservatives like my colleague Congressman Meadows as we continue to share the message of limited government with the voters of the Ninth District,” responded Congressman Shuster. “I will continue working alongside Congressman Meadows on cutting spending and stopping the Obama Administration’s disastrous agenda, and I am confident that under a Republican President, we will build on the reforms conservative in Congress have made and will make historic changes to an out of control federal government.”
Rep. Meadows serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee which Rep. Shuster chairs.
Rep. Shuster is facing a primary challenger on his right from Art Halvorson, making the backing of an influential member of the Freedom Caucus particularly important.
The 9th district consists of all or parts of Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fayette, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.

Great endorsement. Halvorson can’t pick up these types of endorsements while drawing in his money from his subsidies. Go Shuster!

This is just the beginning. More endorsements are on the way. Shuster’s money and clout will win this election.
Meadows is also on the Transportation Committee. Shuster’s lobbyist girlfriend must be servicing him too.
