I don’t hold it against him and you shouldn’t either.
That was the implicit message of Rebecca Shuster, who stars in a new TV ad for her ex-husband.
“You’ve heard a lot of misinformation about my family and my ex-husband Bill so I thought it was time to speak out,” she states.
She goes on to praise Shuster as a father and a Congressman as well as denouncing attacks from his opponent Art Halvorson.
“I’ll be voting for Bill Shuster and I hope that you will too,” she concludes.
This thirty-second spot seeks to counter Halvorson’s criticism of Rep. Shuster for his relationship with an airline lobbyist.
Shuster’s son Garrett also stars in a commercial that is similar to the one his sister Ali did last week.
The 9th Congressional District consists of all or parts of Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fayette, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.

Great logic! Having your EX-WIFE go to bat for you in a campaign commercial! Ha, Ha, Ha,Ha, Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shuster seriously needs to be designated the poster boy for term limits.
Art may grab Rebecca by the wrist and insult her and the kids. Art has been negative for 2 years. Art has proved he is willing to say or do anything to be elected.
Love me some alimony!
Men can hold it against my son; he like that. He swallows, too.
How much alimony did Shuster have to pay her for this?
And I don’t quite see how questioning Shuster’s judgment and ethics for dating a lobbyist is an attack on his family.
Don’t let Halvorson see this ad…He may go and harass her to
That’s classy, and kind of shows what a tool Halverson is for making the election about personal destruction and not issues.
That’s kinda cool. You don’t see exes cut ads very often.
