Pa. Dems Announce Candidate for 133rd House District Special Election

133rd HDThe Pennsylvania Democratic Party announced Jeanne McNeill, the wife of deceased state Rep. Dan McNeill, will be its nominee for the special election in the 133rd state House district.  The special election will be held December 5th.

“We are proud to nominate Jeanne McNeill to serve Lehigh County in the House of Representatives,” Party Chairman Marcel Groen said in a statement.  

“She will continue the work that her late husband dedicated his career to: standing up for working Pennsylvanians, ensuring Pennsylvania’s children have access to quality education, and making the lives of the people in Lehigh County better.”  

The House Democratic Campaign Committee also welcomed McNeill to the race.  

“The House Democratic Caucus was pleased to hear of the nomination of Representative McNeill’s wife Jeanne to fill out the term of her husband and continue his legacy of open, transparent, and ethical government in the House,” HDCC Executive Director Nathan Davidson said.  

McNeill is a member of the Pennsylvania State Educators Association and a skills trainer at the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21.  

Republicans will likely nominate a candidate for the in the next week.

  2. If the always incompetent stooges at the HDCC recommend her then she doesn’t stand a chance.
