PA-Gov: Corbett Raises $1.4 Million In 2014

Governor Tom Corbett’s campaign released their topline numbers for the first reporting period of 2014, and he’s on strong footing.

The incumbent raised $1.4 million from January 1st through March 31st, and was left with $5.9 million at the end of the period’s spending.

“Our campaign is in a strong position from a fundraising and organizational perspective. We are executing our plan that is rooted in building a grassroots structure with a heavy emphasis on using new technologies and data that will help us share Governor Corbett’s message and record with the voters,” Corbett’s campaign manager Mike Barley said in a statement.

He outraised former Revenue Secretary Tom Wolf, former DEP Secretary Katie McGinty and State Treasurer Rob McCord and was only beat by Rep. Allyson Schwartz in this reporting period.

Out of the five candidates, he is second in cash on hand, obviously falling behind Wolf.

PoliticsPA is conducting a deep dive of each candidate’s contributions and expenditures, upon which we will report back later this week.

  1. PAINDY, I’m afraid there’s something wrong with your comment. It fails to mention Brabender. Are you feeling okay?

  2. Who cares how much he raises, he is going to need it. Tom Corbett must go and has nothing to do with his party, he is just bad for PA.

  3. On top of whatever the respective parties have raised. That is where you really need to watch.
