PA-Gov: Dates of Gubernatorial Debates Announced

Wolf CorbettAccording to the Associated Press, the campaigns of Republican Governor Tom Corbett and Democratic nominee Tom Wolf have decided on the places and days of their three fall gubernatorial debates.

The first debate, as suspected, will be held in the Harrisburg media market on September 22 in Hershey, PA at the 30th Annual Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce dinner.

The second debate will be held on October 1 at KYW-TV studios in Philadelphia.

The final debate will be held on October 8 at at the WTAE-TV studios in Wilkinsburg and will be shown in the Pittsburgh media market.

All of the debates will take place in the evening, though exact times have not been announced.

Though politicos were able to see Wolf in action in debates prior to the primary – in which he garnered a reputation for being a bit quiet – this is the first time we’ll witness Corbett in debate mode this election season.

  1. Corbett is not getting the support of his own legislators. That should tell you all you need to know. He is honest, too quiet, not a glory seeker. Our Legislators are not doing their job. Vote Corbett, he is really for the people.

  2. Corbett is scum, we deserve better. Unless the whole state wants to get cancer (and then pay for their treatments out of pocket), he can’t stay in office.

  3. What will the candidates do about seeing that the retired state employees get a raise in their pension. I have been retired 11 years and have not yet seen a raise.

  4. I hope Wolf clarifies his education stance. I am concerned that he favors standardized testing and charter schools. His website discussing education issues makes me nervous about that.

  5. guevonor corbitt aint gotta debate no one becuze he alredy been guv for a while and he done a good jobs and he gonna win anuther term in a land slide…
