We’ve been waiting a long time for it and it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little more.
Nonetheless, it appears that the first PA gubernatorial debate between Republican nominee Gov. Tom Corbett and Democratic nominee Tom Wolf may have been scheduled.
An Associated Press report states that the PA Chamber of Business and Industry dinner on September 22nd is the likely location.
“We’re pretty confident that they’re going to be there,” the group’s president and CEO Gene Barr said on Friday.
The campaigns refused to either confirm or deny the report but the last three gubernatorial campaigns have held their opening debates at the organization’s dinner.
“It’s pretty much a tradition,” Barr stated. “It’s televised. People have come to expect it.”
The dinner, which features former NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw as the keynote speaker, will cost $275 if you’d like to attend ($250 for members).
“Some will come for the debate. Some will come for Brokaw. Some will come for both,” Barr concluded.

It’s the dinner that you are paying for. The debate happens to be an extra.
Chargeing so much money and dollars to be at the debate aint right and aint fair to the voters in penna. and it cant be aloud to happen. the debats shuld happen in a big area in difrent parts of penna so as to let all the voters see how the candydates think.
