PA-Gov: Guzzardi Raised 4k in 2014

Long shot Republican challenger to Governor Tom Corbett, Bob Guzzardi reported raising $4,500 for his campaign.

He contributed the $4,500 to himself.

His spending is mostly contained to printing of business cards, but his biggest expense is $2,500 for a lawyer, presumably to defend him in the petition challenge he currently faces. The ruling on that is expected imminently.

At the end of the reporting period, he was left with $399.91.

  1. Bob Guzzardi is not afraid of Country Club Republicans who promote political necrophilia. PA Taxpayers cannot afford 4 more years of Political necrophilia. Bob is a Spartan and his grassroots will not be silenced. http://youtu.be/4Prc1UfuokY

  2. Interesting, Bob. I’ll have to think about how to help. Yard signs are easy. Stay on the ballot.

  3. I am not accepting any contributions. If you want to spend your own money on promoting my candidacy, you are legally and morally free to do so. You can buy yard signs, or car magnets or even radio ads.

I estimate Rep. State committee spent at least $25k and maybe twice that much to take me off the ballot.

  4. A) no one knew Bob was running, so they couldn’t contribute because they weren’t aware, b) once people became aware of his candidacy, they waited to see the result of the GOP lawsuit against him. It’s sad that an incumbent governor would feel threatened by a no-name, unfunded, dark horse long shot candidate, but the GOP knows how to apply the cudgel. If Bob stays on the ticket, all hell is gonna break loose. It’s good for democracy.

  5. There is a separate report of my personal expenditures from my personal account. Most of that is tolls and gas to Harrisburg and hotels when I was campaigning.

Let us see what the grassroots does or does not do.
