The conservative leaning Keystone Report teamed up with Republican polling firm Magellan Strategies BR, and found a silver lining for incumbent Tom Corbett.
Of the likely voters surveyed, Wolf edges Corbett 49% to 40%, with 11% still undecided roughly five weeks out of election day. This compares favorably for the incumbent to Keystone’s July poll which had a twelve point (50-38) separation between the two.
Magellan owes this slight uptick to the increasing amount of Republicans who have come out to support their candidate in recent weeks. They state “Among strong Republicans, Corbett’s ballot score has increased from 76% to 83%.”
Among definitely decided voters, Corbett is within six points, 34% to Wolf’s 40%, with 15% leaning towards one candidate and 11.4% undecided completely.
This survey is certainly welcome news for the Republican as recent Muhlenberg, Quinnipiac and F&M polls all showed Wolf with a lead of 20% or more.
Magellan Strategies surveyed 1,120 likely voters from September 17-18. It was conducted via automated calls and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9%.

Chris is not a comedy act. You people need to listen to him and his wisdom rather than make jokes about him. I suspect come election day you all will fail to even mention that he was right, but I will hold you all to it! All these stupid polls and the stupid people who read them ha ha!!
Does anyone with a brain realize how many jobs WILL be created WHEN Wolf is elected? 😉

Does anyone with a brain realize how your taxes will rise if Wolf is elected.
Chris- You work in Harrisburg? Where do you work? I seriously hope not with children. I can’t imagine anyone younger than you looking up to you for advice. Can you go to the bathroom all by yourself too? :-/

Chris Martinez–Your lower school principal is calling: Time to get back to your studies and think about graduating.
That same Keystone Report had Romney winning Pennsylvania. Any of you people that believe this poll and the existence of the Easter Bunny should go out and start celebrating a Corbett win.
MARTINIZ IS A COMEDIAN WANT TO BE– –AND A BAD ONE AT THAT
DONT EVEN GIVE HIM THE INK
Cgris M, you stated one time that where you live “property taxes went down”, and when I asked where you lived you replied “Scranton”. Now you say you work in Harrisburg?
@ DD
I have no doubt that, currently, Corbett is “challenged,” but y’all should know that Bob Asher is not only nearing his $12-million state-wide $-raising effort, but he also withstood ~15-minutes of being peppered with key-concerns [by yours-truly] last week…with aplomb.
Details are irrelevant, for now, but know that we had an “audience” of a half-dozen politicos, as he candidly analyzed the forces-at-play; we were not only provided a window into how insiders think/behave, but we were provided specifics as to which issues raised were justified [and to what degree, including what’s being done about them].
I may be able to insert more vowels into my entries than does Chris — and his prediction of a Corbett-landslide may be a bit overblown — but I’ll predict that the NEXT WaPo survey of the chances of sitting-governors for re-election will no longer bury Corbett [despite the wishful-thinking of their resident-libs].
new lib I is a good spellar always been, I aint predicting no elction cuz penna gonna pick guevenor corbit four anuther term cuz the way it always work in this hear state is the repu. are guv for 8 yrs than demo. are in for 8 yrs so it meens corbit gonna win an that aint no prdicton,
@Chris Martinez- Chris…it’s a wonder you can even spell your own name correctly let alone predict an election. :-/
davis no it aint what I ment. i work in harsbg and the mood hear is that the guv’s staff knows he gonna win in land slide, cuz the way it work in pa is each partie get 2 terms to be guv..
Chris- I think you mean Corbett will be buried in landslide. 🙂
davis daino you is wrong, goevnoe corbit is on his way to winning land slide and tht is what gonna be in noveber when he win a 2nd term ,
Is this poll really “welcome news” for Corbett? He’s down by a landslide 9 points in the most skewed/unrealistic poll he can get. I doubt he’s doing that well with his own staff (since, they have direct knowledge of what a fool and bungler he is).
I guess he can try to fool some wealth donors into thinking he’s got “momentum” or a “fighting chance”. But, he’d have to gain over 1 point per week between now and the election, despite the recent debt downgrade and whatever other fiscal shoe is going to drop next.
When you’ve got 3 respected pollsters all consistently showing Wolf 20 points ahead, you know the race is over.
