PA-Gov: Wolf Announces Nomination to Turnpike Commission

Governor-WolfGovernor Wolf announced the nomination of Barry Drew for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

“I know personally how dedicated and passionate Barry Drew is for public service,” Governor Wolf stated.

“Barry will be a tremendous asset to the Turnpike and the people of Pennsylvania will be well-served by his experience and knowledge,” the Governor concluded. “At Revenue, Barry facilitated the Department’s first strategic plan and was involved in all personnel matters for more than 2,125 full-time employees. His experience managing and transforming an important agency will be an asset to the Turnpike.”

Drew served as the Deputy Secretary of Administration in the Executive Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue from 1995 until 2011. Before that, he was Solicitor for the City of Erie then Director of Administration for the County of Erie, Pennsylvania.

Drew served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Gannon University and a Juris Doctor from the Western New England College School of Law.
