PA House races turning into a killing field for Dems

It’s becoming increasingly possible that most of the vulnerable members of Pennsylvania’s Democratic House delegation will lose tonight. Reps. Kathy Dahlkemper, Paul Kanjorski, Chris Carney, Mark Critz and Patrick Murphy are trailing, while the open seat previously occupied by Senate nominee Joe Sestak also looks likely to fall to the GOP. Only Rep. Jason Altmire is holding on as of 10:29 p.m., but only narrowly. The only vulnerable Democrat who seems in good shape is Rep. Tim Holden. Potentially vulnerable GOP Reps. Jim Gerlach and Charlie Dent also appear to be in good shape. Pennsylvania had been among the states with the largest field of vulnerable Democratic seats, and if current trends hold, the results tonight will prove it. — Louis Jacobson
