The Democratic group Senate Majority PAC has released a new attack ad targeting Senator Pat Toomey, featuring two amusing co-stars.

The thirty-second spot begins with a shot of two cats, one scratching the other’s back, while a narrator says “You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours. You know what it means, so does Pat Toomey.”

It goes on to critique the Senator for his voting record, asserting that he is paying back Wall Street as a legislator after his time working there.

“Pat Toomey, right for Wall Street, wrong for Pennsylvania,” the narrator concludes.

According to Tarini Parti of Buzzfeed, the commercial will air on on cable and broadcast TV in the Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton media markets.

Sen. Toomey is running for a second term against Democratic nominee Katie McGinty.

  1. Seems to be an ad that only those who are real fans of politics will pay much attention to.

  2. In Southeastern PA, I’d hit Toomey on his lie that he was a part of saving the oil refineries in Delaware County a few years back, when they shut down. None of the people at the meetings taking place to line up buyers for those refineries remember Toomey doing anything except show up to press conferences after the deals were done.

  3. Dems accuse Republicans of being Wall Street Fat Cats? YAWN.

In other news, water is wet.

  4. I’m not sure what I think of this ad. There’s a school of thought in politics that basically says you need to grab someone’s eyeballs before you start telling them stuff. The cats might do that.
