Ah. I did not realize that Johnny Doc was operating against the Dems in that seat. That explains much.

We are going to have a lot to talk about at the next state committee, if we both attend.

  2. Anyone have any ideas to fix it. Let’s talk about that. Regurgitating what a trash bag Trump is isn’t gonna help DEMS. Accountability and Change is what’s needed before Wagner becomes Governor.

  3. @ Diano let me tell you about the 170. It’s all white it’s all cops and fireman and union halls nurses. McNesby has his FOP hall there. Johnny Docs a destructive mother ffff. He single handily screwed Mcginty. After Wolf and McGinty fed him like a baby. If Doc would have been for Darragh the democrat and Marty Malloy in Delco and Shapiro in Erie instead of fuckin around helping Republicans all over the state she could have won.

  4. Whistleblower-

Wolf didn’t pay street money because he didn’t need it, and Stack didn’t make a difference.

    Corbett: 1,575,511
    Wolf: 1,920,355
    —-
    Diff: 344,844

    Philly vote:
    Corbett: 45,268
    Wolf: 333,539

That means that Wolf did not need ANY Philly votes to win, let alone pay Brady’s extortion money for no reason. If Wolf had paid Brady, what would the Philly turnout have been? 350,000? 375,000?

What is Brady’s excuse for losing the 170th to White? That district has 20,000 Dems and 10,000 Republicans.

Brady has not proven his “street” money actually produces bang-for-the-buck in turnout. He can likely control the sample ballots being handed out at the polls with the street money, but I’m not convinced there is much GOTV going on election day.

  5. Brady didn’t fail anyone. Wolf McGinty Rendell and Marcel are to blame. They think because they’re in with Dwight Evans they have Philly. Who the hell in there right mind tells Dem City Committee a week out NO STREET MONEY with a SEPTA strike going on. ?? After they marched into to the DNC like the gestapo refusing to help Philadelphians. They hoarded everything. Lazer Palnick Mikus Isenhour are fffffff stupid. Next time don’t punch people in the gut; PAY YO BILLZ!!! Obama didn’t have to pay street money because his name was OBAMAAAAA!! Wolf didn’t pay street money but we had a Philly guy Stackkkk on the ballot. Buncha arrogant jackasses.

  6. we also need to note how the HRC KM campaign spent its money: calling Dem super voters 6x to remind us to vote, but emailing elected Dem leaders 2 hours before the HRC KMG show to come and stand in line with 3000 other people. no reaching out to local elected officials, no think tanks of locals being asked how to reach the western county blue collars. they did not really want our help , because the groan /rendell machine had it all superbly figured out. then DSCC blames us because every circumferential county to allegheny went red ?? a lot of nerve, that is. we want letterman and we don’t want DSCC pouring $4 million into the next primary to buy some candidate that the worker bees don’t like. if they were PO’d at sestak for not sucking up sufficiently, why didn’t they go with flawless Fetterman instead of ethically- convicted mc G??? the same logic pertains when they selected never tried a case josh shapiro over a decent prosecutor like steve zap.

  7. the same character flaws the mc minty revealed in her short lived service to Rendell came back to haunt her in the form of effective ads by toomey. painting her as millionaire mc Ginty/ shady katie / corporate greedster /ethically convicted turned a lot of people off. we could have told them that from her 1st dismal performance at the cmu governor’s debate some time ago… but the the render machine decides to go with malleablekatieinstead of independent letterman…. well, you see the outcome.

Fetterman might have won it . mc g left a lot of Dems unimpressed. the fabled philly – brady machine failed to deliver what it was supposed to.. the rural counties hated her. and now let’s all thank DSCC and groan for taking choice away from the rank and file, and then listen to them sourly blame westmoreland Dems for not turning out the vote. news flash to DSCC and the big blue PA mine: you’ve lost the rank and file. better figure out how to get it back before 2020.

  8. Fetterman would have won in a landslide. People like him are the best hope for the future, if the Democratic Party has one.

  9. Whistleblower-

Do you attend the state committee quarterly meetings? If so, look for me at the next one and introduce yourself.

  10. Whistleblower-

Interesting points, but don’t see how Sestak could have done better, since he would not participate in GOTV coordinated campaign. The areas where Hillary lost are where Sestak got crushed by Toomey last time, like Westmoreland. I don’t know how many times we’d have to watch that video of him trampling kids at a parade.

As for Marcel, he wanted the job. He was an eager participant in the sabotage of the state party under Jim Burn and stated that he (and Montco Dems) would not contribute to state party or attend events like annual fundraisers as long as Jim was chairman. Wolf also boycotted the State Committee meetings until Marcel became chairman. Then, they all bitched that Jim wasn’t raising enough money. The prize for Rendell and his lackeys was the DNC convention and all the contract work and perks that could controlled, directed and skimmed.

Rumor has been that Marcel was expecting an Ambassadorship to the Netherlands if PA got Hillary elected. If true, he would have bolted in early 2017. So, let’s kick him out then.

Marcel employed heavy-handed “leadership” and backroom decision-making with imperial style. At the June meeting, there was a dispute over the selection of DNC delegates. Marcel has picked his own slate, and forced it down the committee’s throat as a block. The floor fight opposing this, lost by about 70 votes. There were also about 70 votes more than the total number of credentialed voters at the meeting as announced at the start. The demand for a roll-call vote was denied. A complaint I heard from one candidate was that besides Hillary and McGinty, Marcel was overly focused on installing Josh as AG (as his stepping stone to Gov).

There are many reasons why Marcel must be replaced WITHOUT (any input by Wolf or Rendell) as chairman at the next meeting, if the State Committee has the will to do it.

I agree that Wolf has no interest in Dem control of the state legislature. There was no priority to expand the map and retake the seats lost when Wolf was elected.

  11. David, your fictional story presumes the 2nd Amendment was repealed and the citizenry are unarmed. You know, a liberal utopia.

  12. @ David Diano Respectfully disagree on one nuance of your rationale. Sestak Fetterman or Shapiro would have beat Toomey. But Shapiro lacked the balls and was too busy coveting the Governors office. Or since McDingbat didn’t have a law degree they backed him off. I do agree that Wolf ( Mary Isenhour ) and I say Mary because Tom Wolf doesn’t know any better, he’s a furniture salesman with great ideas and integrity Mary and her husband HDCC spokesman along with Rendell are Governing right now. Or lack of Governing. It’s really politics they’re doing and failing at that. Blowing up state committee this is the result. Marcel was handed a bag of shit and they won’t let him do what he KNOWS how to do. Look I’m no Marcel lover but I know for a fact he told those losers Sestak or Fetterman will be the better candidate. ISENHOUR WOLF RENDELL don’t careeee. As long as RENDELL gets the state contractual legal work for his rich friends he’s good. As long as you BUY consulting from Mary’s firm Mack Sumner they can all get rich. THE REST OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY LOSES AND SUFFERS but they’re kool with it as long as the money’s rolling in. Until RENDELL his robot Mary are gone it’s pointless. I’ve never seen a more silent party in 30 years. Racism Hatred are gonna win because our party has no leader and no voice. The silence is deafening. So continue with the Opioid Tour. The truth is Tom Wolf doesn’t care about losing D seats or trying to win any back. He won’t stump for the party and he doesn’t include sitting legislators in press conferences when he enters their districts. Mary’s too busy making sure he gets credit for shit he had nothing to do with. They Kill their own and too arrogant to include anyone with Juice or Clout. Their next lame move , making sure Teplitz has a high paying do nothing job. That’s what their working on right now. Not working on why WE LOSTTTTT. Word

  13. The rural hicks f*cked it up for everyone. They don’t realize they will be the ones who suffer most in a “Trump economy” with unfettered GOP economic policies Greece and the Great Depression will look like boom times.

Plot background summary for “The Handmaiden’s Tale” from Wikipedia:

“The Handmaid’s Tale is set in the Republic of Gilead, a theocratic military dictatorship formed within the borders of what was formerly the United States of America.
Beginning with a staged terrorist attack (blamed on Islamic extremists) that kills the President and most of Congress, a movement calling itself the “Sons of Jacob” launches a revolution and suspends the United States Constitution under the pretext of restoring order. They are quickly able to take away all of women’s rights, largely attributed to financial records being stored electronically and labelled by gender. The new regime, the Republic of Gilead, moves quickly to consolidate its power and reorganize society along a new militarized, hierarchical, compulsory regime of Old Testament-inspired social and religious fanaticism among its newly created social classes. In this society, human rights are severely limited and women’s rights are unrecognized as almost all women are forbidden to read.”

  14. Thank God. Can we please now stop trying to hold up Mike Mikus as some sort of great political operative?

  15. The 3-1 margin for Trump, along with the larger turnout in rural PA would have sunk any Democratic candidate against Toomey. Nice to see my neighbors get themselves to the polls in numbers that more than offset the massive Philly margins for Dems.

  16. David Diano could not have been more wrong about this election – what a fool you are sir. I can’t believe you’re even posting – what a fool

  17. David…The facts speak for themselves. There are plenty of outstanding candidates that would have benefited from $5 million DSCC boosting their name recognition in the PA primary. If the DSCC put $5 million behind you in ads in the primary you too would be a contender against Toomey in the Fall. For learning a lesson’s sake, as good Democrats let’s all remember this utter fiasco of picking McGinty who was selected only by being an insider and next time let’s really look in the Legislature and everywhere for a good candidate.

  18. Huna 1984: Thanks for trying to imitate my sleazy style, but get outta here. Ain’t no nobody who can imitate me, because I’m HUGE and AWESOME, the best and biggest sleazebag that ever lived. I’m scum next to Obama who had class, but just wait for my renovation of the White House with pink marble, brass chandeliers, and gold faucets. Straight outta 1980 dress up that old fixer upper.

  19. I abstained from this face(wrote in Fetterman) Toomey sucks but doesn’t mean someone like Katie deserves my vote, I convinced someone not to vote for Toomey, so all the same. I can’t believe Feingold lost in Wisconsin, I thought Clinton would win because of him, not the other way around. Democrats suck for progressives for the most part, they aren’t with us(obvious I know)

  20. I said 6 months ago that NO woman could win in Pa after the kathy kane disaster and yesterday proved me right.

  21. David, respefully disagee. McGinty was a horrible candidate. Inanimate Carbon Rod would have won.

  22. Same Old Same Old-

Given this turnout/electorate, the Dems weren’t going to do any better with a different candidate against Toomey (and Sestak would lost by double-digits, because he wouldn’t have worked with the party). And $5 million here or there wasn’t going to make a difference.

  23. Where’s that douche bag HaHaHa today? We’re all laughing at you and Diano for being so clueless.

  24. There were many others in the state legislature and in Congress who would have had a better chance to beat Toomey with the 5 million the DSCC used to beat Sestak in the primary. Ok, the leadership did not want Sestak but why not cast the net out for someone lesser known and more of a fresh face to go against Toomey. This was a missed opportunity for the Dems.

  25. Katie is the first in her family to receive unprecedented and underserved state and national party backing only to lose in humiliating fashion.

Great job and congratulations to Katie and Co, senate committee, and every politician and union who endorsed her because they were told to. This is what happens to not so smart people who don’t realize they’re not so smart.

  26. Toomey should have won. His gun control gambit, though failed, was admirable. He is basically conservative, but can work with Democrats. McGinty is a political hack liberal who would never work with Republicans. I don’t expect Toomey to embrace Trump.

  27. Hahahahahaha! Blahahahahaha!

One of the dirtiest campaigners in history goes down in flames. Nice try Mikus, you scumbag.

  28. I heard #ShadyKatie conceded. Any truth to that Hahaha? Where are you anyway. Don’t hurt yourself buddy.

  29. 2 to 1?? Sounds like he got it backwards, or should we be saying Madam President this morning? Nate Silver has now called half as many presidential elections as Rasmussen.

  30. This is the greatest eff you to the state party in history. LOL at you fools for backing this horrendous candidate. You got exactly what you deserved.

Sestack or Fetterman could have won this with $50MM in the bank when it was over.

McGinty was the worst candidate I’ve ever seen for this high an office. Glad that karma has set this right. I’m not entirely upset Trump won either. The DNC and the media need to be nuked from orbit and reborn into something not quite so evil.

  31. Whatever we see from Trump over next four years will be better than the incompetent and corrupt leadership of Obama the failure. HiliAry left a lot to be desired, as did Trump- but this is huge repudiation of the arrogance, racism and dishonesty of Obama.
Obama has shamed our Nation and disgraced his Office. Let us hope Trump will do better.
Thank you also to Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, MIchelle Obama and Huma /Anthony Weinstein for showing us all what political filth sounds and looks like.

  32. Reasonable Rep-

I expected Toomey to do 5 points better than Trump, and McGinty needing 5 point of coattails from Hillary. In the last week, McGinty and Clinton polled even, which is how it wound up.

The Dems in Westmoreland can no longer be considered Dems.

The non-college educated blue-collar people who voted for Trump, expecting jobs/wages are going to be disappointed.

I haven’t analyzed the turnout breakdown to tell whether it was better R turnout, weaker D turnout, or Berniacs that voted 3rd party.

If heads roll in the party, Marcel should be first in line. He (with Wolf and McGinty and others) pulled a coup and kicked Jim Burn out. Marcel made a point of keeping Montco $$$ from going to the state party fundraisers until Jim was gone. So, basically, the anti-Jim crowd weakened the state party, then blamed it on Jim, so they could take over.

They failed to field candidates for 4 dozen GOP seats, leaving those Republicans unopposed (and refused to help candidates attempting write-ins and petitions).

  33. David: Marcel had very little, if anything, to do with PA going to Trump, it was Clinton. The “deplorables” comment was akin to Romney’s comments back in 2012, and the email hack revealing her (and her campaign’s) complete lack of respect for Sanders’ supporters didn’t help.

USA Today did a survey a few weeks back showing that 61% of the electorate were more concerned with government corruption than terrorism. You can’t talk about government corruption without somehow bringing up the Clintons, and that sank her. (I know Trump is anything but a model businessman, but Clinton is tied more closely to the government).

  34. David:

Honest question. How do you reconcile Trump and Toomey (frosty relationship, at best) winning by about the same margain . . . with Democrats sweeping the row offices by healthy margins . . . with Republicans apparently bolstering their majorities in the state legislature?

  35. Unsanctioned R:

Don’t think it’s fair to call Nate Silver or 538 a one-hit wonder. Obviously modeling this election wasn’t easy, and my two cents is that 538 at least gave it an honest effort.

Regarding the presidential race specifically, you may recall the schism between the guys at 538 (which only gave Hillary about 2:1 odds of winning in the final days) and other liberal partisans at HuffPo and elsewhere (who had her at around 98 or 99 percent).

  36. PA should have been a slam dunk.

Marcel Groen needs to resign (or be removed) as chairman of the state party.

  37. Congrats to you and I know for you’re going to win. and I have family members named Bob and Pat the Incumbent Pennsylvania US Senators.

  38. Diano and HaHaHa are mainlining meth right now to remove their brain cells since they were so wrong.

  39. WE HAVE OUR COUNTRY BACK AGAIN. BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS. THE GOOD OLD BOYS WILL BE RUNNING EVERYTHING AGAIN.

  40. TRUMP WON. WHAT HAPPENED DAVEY BOY. THE GOOD OLD BOYS WILL BE RUNNING THE LOCAL U.S. ATTORNEYS OFFICE. THANK YOU KATIE KANE.

  41. Unsanctioned R: You noticed that too about the deleted thread?
I’m a Dem (although more independent than many of my Dem friends) and I had a feeling McGinty wouldn’t pull it off…too many Dems, especially in the Toomey T, were still irritated that she was hand-picked by DC and the elite. She also campaigned non-stop with the very establishment that so many voters were set to oust.

Would have been interesting to see how Sestak would have done, considering the Dems captured all the other statewide races and Sestak is a quasi anti-establishment candidate himself.

  42. Democrats on suicide watch tonight.
Nate Silver = One-hit wonder. He did better calling the World Cup.
    David Plouffe = Dumbass
HaHaHa = Retarded Troll that doesn’t know shit. LOL.

  43. I’ve never seen Politics PA delete a whole thread until a moment ago when the election story disappeared.
