A slight improvement from the previous quarter. 

Rep. Scott Perry (R-York) raised just under $320,000 from the beginning of April to the end of June, while spending slightly over $130,000 during that time period. 

The York County Republican entered July with just under $470,000 cash on hand and has raised just over $620,000 in the election cycle-to-date.

In the first three months of the year, Perry’s campaign raised $310,000. 

Perry’s 2021 second quarter haul is significantly higher than the amount he raised at the same point in the previous cycle. 

In his July 2019 filing, he raised just under $125,000, while bringing $300,000 cash on hand into the 3rd quarter. 

According to Open Secrets, just under $8.5 million was raised in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District during the 2020 cycle. Democratic state Auditor General Eugene DePasquale, raised $4.5 million in the previous cycle in his bid for the 10th District, which is the most any congressional challenger raised in Pennsylvania during the previous election, while Perry raised $3.95 million. 

In 2020, Perry won by 6.5 points over DePasquale to earn a fifth term in Congress. Donald Trump bested Joe Biden by just under 3 points in the 10th Congressional District, according to Daily Kos. 

DePasquale, who sent out a fundraising email in mid-May announcing that he is considering a rematch against Perry in 2022, raised just over $90,000 from the beginning of April to the end of June, while spending just under $50,000 during that time period. He entered July with just under $60,000 cash on hand. 

Perry maintains a significant cash advantage over Brian Allen, a psychologist and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Penn State College of Medicine, who is challenging the York County Republican in the GOP primary for 2022. Allen entered July with just over $440 cash on hand.

Perry is one of two Republicans in the state being targeted by the DCCC to flip in 2022, along with Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Bucks). 

However, Pennsylvania will lose a seat after redistricting, making it difficult for any challenger and incumbent to accurately size up their 2022 prospects.
