PA7: Nothstein 1st TV Ad Touts Background

Off to the races.

Marty Nothstein, GOP candidate for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional district, released his first television ad of the general election cycle. The 30 second ad, “Hometown Champion” highlights his background as an Olympic gold medalists and career fighting for lower taxes and seniors.

“He dreamed big, worked hard, and won an Olympic gold for America,” the voiceover says in the beginning of the ad. “Then he went to work, farmed his land, raised his family, started a small business.”

“We’ve kept it modest and to-the-point: a young man who worked his heart out to bring his country an Olympic gold medal, came home, started his own business, and then took on the problems of his community and solved them with common sense and hard work,” Dennis Roddy, Marty Nothstein for Congress spokesman said of the ad. “We don’t have Susan Wild’s out-of-town contributors. We have a story of hard work and success for the people of the Lehigh Valley.”

Nothstein is facing Democrat Susan Wild for the newly drawn 7th District open seat in the Lehigh Valley.

The Wild’s campaigns first television ad pitched a bipartisan approach for governing the district.

The Wild campaign declined to comment on this new ad.

  1. Bradley Kirsch says:

This man is running to fill a seat in Congress for the Republican party! That he touts his ability to represent seniors is absurd!

Republican’s in Congress have clearly demonstrated a disregard for seniors by attacking health care and cutting benefits to seniors under Social Security.

They want to make senior retirement benefits another Wall Street item for the profits of those who back their programs.

Cynical type of advertising trying to capture votes by ignoring then exploiting the very pain that their programs havoc on the senior populations.

An olympic champion he may be but in this matter he represents a political view that is inconsistent with the true intent of his party!

Democrats will handle the problems of Seniors as we always have and only a Democratic Majority will guarantee seniors a seat at the table that they have paid to have!
