With its immediate past director on his way to manage Tom Corbett’s re-election campaign, the Pa. Republican Party has chosen Bob Bozzuto as its new Executive Director.
Bozzuto, has been with the party for several years, most recently as Deputy Executive Director.
Outgoing ED Mike Barley was named the Corbett/Cawley campaign manager earlier in April.
“Bob has been a key member of my team since 2007 and strategically led our political and campaign efforts that helped to elect Governor Corbett, U.S. Senator Toomey, 13 Congressmen, majorities in the State Senate, State House, State Appellate Courts and 51 County Courthouses. With critical races in 2013-2014, we have a team that will deliver important wins, again,” said PAGOP Chairman Rob Gleason.
“I am excited to do my part to take our party operations to the next level to elect Republicans up and down the ticket,” Bozzuto said.
The party has a history of promoting from within. Barley took the reins of the party in 2011 when former ED Luke Bernstein joined the Corbett administration.
Bozzuto, 31 and originally of Westmoreland County, now lives in Cumberland County with his wife and son.
