PEG PAC Backs Donohue for Supreme Court

christine-donahueChristine Donohue won the support of the commonwealth’s oldest pro-business political action committee today.

PEG PAC, which is affiliated with the Pennsylvania Business Council, is endorsing Democratic nominee for PA Supreme Court Christine Donohue.

“We found Judge Donohue to be very knowledgeable about business issues, corporate law, and areas of constitutional law of greatest concern to our members,” said David W. Patti, President and CEO of the PBC. “In addition, Judge Donohue was a member of the Judicial Conduct Board, a Board member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Chair of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners, and a Judge on the Court of Judicial Discipline. We believe that this experience and her seven years of experience on the Superior Court have prepared Judge Donohue well for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Finally, all agree she has an excellent judicial temperament.”

“Throughout my career as a lawyer and judge in the second highest court in the Commonwealth, I have litigated and adjudicated important and complex cases dealing with legal issues and disputes in the arena of business and commerce,” Judge Donohue responded. “My experiences have given me a unique understanding and appreciation of the challenges and opportunities of doing business in Pennsylvania and I am deeply honored the Pennsylvania Business Council’s affiliated political action committee, PEG PAC, has recognized that with its endorsement of my candidacy for Supreme Court Justice.”

PEG PAC has already endorsed GOP nominees Anne Covey and Judith Olson for the other seats on the Court.
