Former Federal prosecutor Joe Peters is getting closer to a decision on a run in the 11th Congressional district.
“I have been met with a great reception. The more I visit counties and talk to people, the more encouragement I have gotten,” Peters told PoliticsPA.
Peters says he wants to talk to the people across the district to compare his experience to the issues people are thinking about before he makes his decision.
“I am a couple of weeks away from a decision. I am doing it on my own time table.”
Peters is currently doing a listening tour of the nine counties in the district.
State Rep. Stephen Bloom (R-Cumberland) and former Revenue Secretary Dan Meuser have both officially entered the race. Businessman Andrew Lewis is also considering runs for the open seat.

Joe is no puppet nor beholden to anyone!!!
Joe peters would be the best thing to ever happen to DC.
lol, really!?! ever?? he’s a 60+ year old guy who sounds like he does not have a job and worked for a time period as a cop and a prosecutor. dime a dozen.
Joe would be a fine Congressman for this area!
Joe Peters is a man of integrity, we would be lucky to have someone who is uncorruptable represent us in DC
better chance of finding “uncorruptable” in the dictionary than this guy getting elected
don’t waste your time man.
Run Joe!
