A protection from abuse order that was filed against state Rep. Nick Miccarelli (R-Delaware) was granted by a Luzerne County judge. The request was filed by fellow state Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne).
The PFA will follow an agreement reached prior to the proceeding according to the Patriot News.
The three year order will allow Miccarelli to return to work at the state Capitol, but bars him from possessing firearms outside of requirements for his duties in the Army National Guard.
Toohil was granted a temporary order on Friday against Miccarelli that led to his firearms being confiscated and him not showing up at the Capitol on Monday.
Toohil and a political consultant both accuse Miccarelli of physically and sexually assaulting them on separate occasions over the last six years.
Miccarelli has denied the allegations.
Governor Tom Wolf, Republican leaders in the House, and some legislators have called for Miccarelli to resign his position.
