Jim Kenney has won a lot of endorsements the last weeks and a SuperPAC that supports him wants you to know all about it.

In particular, Forward Philadelphia wants you to know that several of the city’s black leaders are backing the Kenney campaign.

The new video was first reported by WHYY’s Dave Davies, who also revealed that IBEW 98 Business Manager John Dougherty will be making his quiet endorsement of Kenney public tomorrow.

“Why are Dwight Evans, Marian Tasco and so many other other leaders backing Jim Kenney for Mayor?,” the commercial begins. “Because Jim Kenney’s the one they trust.”

The thirty-second spot goes on to emphasize the candidate’s support of public schools. Meanwhile, on the screen graphics flash by to inform viewers that Kenney is being endorsed by the PFT and AFL-CIO.

The ad finishes by again reminding viewers, through a graphic as well as showing them walking down the street together, of State Rep. Evans’ endorsement.

“So join leaders we trust in supporting leaders we trust in supporting Jim Kenney,” the narrator concludes. “The block-by-block Mayor Philadelphia needs.”

This is now the third ad that favorable SuperPACs have made for Kenney’s campaign.
