PITTS’ WORST VOTE #28: PITTS TO 9/11 HEROES: TOO BAD

PITTS’ WORST VOTE #28:  PITTS TO 9/11 HEROES:  TOO BAD

It didn’t take much research for the Herr 2010 campaign to uncover the next Bad Pitts Vote — it was cast only a few days ago.

Vote Number 28:  H.R. 847, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010

In the nine years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, many of the first responders who survived the collapse of the World Trade Center’s twin towers have developed health problems from exposure to the resulting toxins.  This bill, named for a now-deceased New York Police Department detective, provides medical monitoring and treatment for eligible emergency responders and recovery workers, and for residents and other building occupants who were also adversely affected by the attacks.  On September 29th, 2010, the House passed the bill 268-160.  Members said it was the least they could do.  But it was more than Rep. Pitts felt he could do:
Pitts votes NO.

The bill is now in the Senate. This may help explain why Congressman Pitts is refusing to face Lois:  he has too much to hide.

Joe Pitts has a blind spot when it comes to the men and women who help assure public safety.  But they can see right through him.  Twenty-seven more Bad Pitts Votes to go, one each day.
