Podcast: Malcolm Kenyatta’s Run for the U.S. Senate

In the latest episode of the PoliticsPA Podcast, Democratic state rep Malcolm Kenyatta talks about his background and his current campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Kenyatta, 31, discusses growing up in a low-income family in North Philadelphia; how his mother told him he was going to hell when she learned he was gay; the “basic bargain” he believes isn’t being lived up to in America; and the cynical way politicians and the media manipulate and divide people.

“Too many elected officials treat this like it’s a damn game show,” Kenyatta says. “This is not TV. It’s people’s lives.”

You can listen to the podcast on Apple, Spotify and most major podcast platforms.

  1. Kenyatta is an egomaniac that nobody would have even heard of if not for the very things that he claims are keeping him from being elected to the US Sentate. Try accomplishing at least *one* positive thing for your district before trying to run statewide.

  2. “I’m black and gay. I’ve made a career in extorting people with threats of allegations of racism and homophobia. Elect me, and I’ll do more of the same”.
