PPP Poll: Michelle Obama and Joe Biden Most Popular

Joe Biden-Michelle ObamaThe new PPP poll that was released today contained, among other things, new information on the favorability ratings of several people and institutions in the news today.

Leading the way were First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden with 54% and 52% favorability ratings respectively.

Bernie Sanders also got decent marks, with 46% of Pennsylvanians looking at the Vermont Senator favorably with 40% having an unfavorable view.

Chelsea Clinton and Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine both had more people view them favorably than unfavorably, although many Pennsylvanians were not sure how they felt.

The former First Daughter had a 41% favorability rating, with 29% unfavorable and 30% unsure. Kaine had 31% of Pennsylvanians view him favorably with 25% unfavorable and 45% unsure.

One person who Pennsylvanians clearly cannot stand is Russian President Vladimir Putin with 70% of respondents saying they viewed the Russian leader unfavorably.

Putin has been involved in headlines these past few weeks, mostly in connection with GOP Presidential nominee Donald Trump. Trump has been giving very mixed signals on his relationship and views on Putin.

Pennsylvanians also do not care for the country of Russia itself with only 12% having a favorable view of the nation with 54% viewing it negatively.

Russia is not the only organization that Pennsylvanians have a distaste for as the two major political parties in the US also got low marks.

49% of Pennsylvanians had a negative view towards the Democratic Party with 44% having a favorable view. The Republican Party’s numbers were even worse with 54% of Pennsylvanians having a negative view and only 34% viewing the GOP favorably.

Public Policy Polling surveyed 1,505 likely Pennsylvania voters from July 29th to 31st. The margin of error is +/- 2.5%.

  1. Michelle stole the DNC Convention, with the best speech. Although Sec Clinton was a close second, and Joe kicked it out of the park as he always does.

  2. And republicans are growing more and more distressed that Trump is their nominee!!
