President Obama Endorses Bryan Lentz in 7th District Race
 
Springfield, PA – Today, President Barack Obama joined a chorus of elected officials and community and business leaders by endorsing Representative Bryan Lentz for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District.
 
“With so much still left to be done, and too many families struggling to get by, we need to keep America moving forward — which means I need you to support Bryan Lentz for Congress,” the President said. “You can go door to door to ask folks to support Bryan. You can make calls to voters in your area, and make sure they get to the polls. And you can spread the word about the importance of voting for Bryan Lentz to your family, friends, and neighbors.”
 
In one of the most high-profile contests in the country, Lentz has focused his campaign on the economic issues facing the families of Delaware, Montgomery, and Chester counties.  The President’s endorsement comes at a critical juncture in the campaign, after Vice President Joe Biden and Ret. General Paul Eaton have officially declared their support for Lentz.
 
“I’m extremely honored by President Obama’s endorsement,” Lentz said.  “After focusing my campaign on job creation and economic development, my first priority as a member of Congress will be to work with the President and other members of Congress to get our economy back on track.”
 
“If Republicans win in November, their agenda is simple: take us backward to the failed policies of the last decade,” Obama said. “We cannot let that happen, and that’s why we all need to fight to get Bryan Lentz to Washington, to keep America — and Pennsylvania — moving forward:”
 
A former Airborne Ranger, criminal prosecutor and Iraq War veteran, Bryan Lentz currently serves in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from Delaware County. He was awarded both the Bronze Star for Service and the War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal for his military service. He lives in Swarthmore with his wife Jennifer and their son Thomas.
