Q3: Rothfus $543K, Critz $500K

In Pa.’s most competitive congressional election, Republican challenger Keith Rothfus outpaced incumbent Rep. Mark Critz by $43,000. Rothfus raised $543K to Critz’s $500K.

That’s according to each candidate’s FEC filings.

But Critz has the edge with cash on hand, $364K to $161K (though Critz also has $120K in campaign debts – much of it from a loan to himself). That’s because Rothfus spend over a million dollars during the 3rd quarters, from July to September.

That may prove to be money well spent; Rothfus put himself in a position where he’s close enough to Critz in the polling that outside groups see his race as a worthwhile investment.

  1. It’s costing an incumbent a lot of money to keep his seat. If he had a good record to stand on or real supporters he wouldn’t have to! But most of all talk to his soon to be ex-constiuents, he would have lost in his old district!
Critz is the worthless, spineless wonder!
