Attorney General Kathleen Kane has hit a new low.
According to the latest Quinnipiac Poll, Kane’s approval rating stands at just 22%. 55% disapprove of her job performance.
Last month Kane’s approval split was 24/50 while May’s was 23/51.
Even 41% of Democrats disapprove of the AG’s job performance while 31% approve. That’s the best demographic for Kane in the results.
Kane isn’t running for re-election so one would think her numbers can’t go much lower. Her trial, however, is still set to start on August 8th and that could change things.
This survey was conducted by Quinnipiac University using live interviewers calling land lines and cell phones from June 30th to July 11th. They contacted 982 registered voters in Pennsylvania. The margin of error is +/- 3.1%.

HARRISBURG –Bonusgate defendent Brett Cott received a sentence of 21 to 60 months on three charges this morning.
He also received three fines totaling $11,000 and was told to make restitution to the state of $50,000. The sentence was imposed by Dauphin County Judge Richard Lewis, who rejected Mr. Cott’s defense attorny’s plea for probation. Mr. Cott was found guilty on three charges: conflict of interest, theft of services, and conspiracy.
The office of state Attorney General Tom Corbett had argued for a stiff sentence, claiming Mr. Cott had seriously misused taxpayer dollars in running as many as 20 political campaigns in Western Pennsylvania from 2004 to 2006.
