Quinnipiac Poll: President’s Approval Rating at 40%

Barack ObamaBad news for the President.

According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, Barack Obama has just a 40% approval rating in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, 56% disapprove of the job the President is doing.

His approval numbers are four points lower than in February.

Additionally, 66% of respondents want the next President to “change direction” compared to 28% who want Obama’s successor to continue his policies. Two months ago, those numbers were 58% and 36% respectively.

There was a large gender gap in the President’s ratings with males disapproving by a 35-63 margin while females were a closer 45-50 split.

Still, only Democratic voters approve of Pres. Obama’s performance and want the next President to continue his policies.

This Quinnipiac survey was conducted from March 17th to March 28th. 1,036 Pennsylvania registered voters were interviewed live through land lines and cell phones. The margin of error is plus or minus 3%.

  1. Frank and Village fail to address the
    Corruption and polarization Obama breeds.these
Guys like others ignore the many Obama failures-
And when it comes to irrational thinking-take the
Cake. Obama is a failure- that is the sad fact

  2. John, the public seems to be with Obama in the Quinnipiac poll on the Iran negotiation. Health care is also gaining in acceptance. Unemployment declining. Stock prices up. Oil prices down. Economic growth that helps all is not going well, but GOP is a major stumbling block to applying government policies that would help boost wages/benefits/opportunities: no progressive taxes, no regulations, no unions, no living wage, no medicaid, no education debt relief, no effective infrastructure, no universal broadband access. . . . .

  3. Oh, c’mon, John1984. You are being totally irrational—another victim of Obama derangement syndrome. This entry in Wikipedia sums up your condition precisely: “Irrationality is cognition, thinking, talking or acting without inclusion of rationality. It is more specifically described as an action or opinion given through inadequate use of reason, emotional distress, or cognitive deficiency. The term is used, usually pejoratively, to describe thinking and actions that are, or appear to be, less useful, or more illogical than other more rational alternatives.” Please, John 1984, see a doctor before your hypertension results in a heart attack or stroke.

  4. Obama”s numbers reflect most see him as more corrupt than Nicon and more incompetent than Carter. Obama is an
embarrassment to our Nation and shames his office. Our enemies welcome him- our allies
Fear his weakness. Syria and Iran think he’s great. Arrogance is no substitute for accomplishment- and he has few.
History will judge him for the failure he is.
Worst of all he has done little for future generations. What a terrible choice he
Was for so many of us. Best place for his library is Tehran- they owe him big time!
