The results are in and a plurality of our readers said that the pay for legislators and the Governor should be suspended during budget stalemates.
36% of the 603 respondents said that legislators and the Governor’s pay should be suspended. 33% said it should just be the legislators’ pay, 16% said legislators’ and their staff’s pay should be suspended, and 15% were against suspending pay.
These results will be welcomed by legislators who voluntarily give up their pay during budget stalemates.
