Our readers expect to see State Senator Mike Stack’s campaign ads first on their television by a wide margin.
Last week, in commemoration of all four Democratic gubernatorial campaigns finally hitting the airwaves, we decided to ask our readers which candidate for Lieutenant Governor they thought would be the first to join them.
Stack was the overwhelming favorite, winning with a majority of the vote in a five-man race. This is likely due to the massive $700,000 COH that the candidate reported on his latest fundraising report. Regardless, he raced ahead with 244 votes.
Former Rep. Mark Critz finished a solid second with 86 readers believing he’ll strike first. Meanwhile, State Rep. Brandon Neuman came in third with 52 votes with Harrisburg City Councilman Brad Koplinski compiling 42.
In last place was Bradford County Commissioner Mark Smith, with 33 readers thinking he’ll air the first commercial. This is particularly surprising given that Smith is the only candidate so far to make a web video, which could easily make for a satisfactory introductory TV spot.
