Well, the results are in, and our readers feel the race for PA-13 has not gotten too negative.

There were a number of notable events that spurred this question starting with the candidate’s first complete debate back about a month ago. The battle escalated as Leach filed an FEC complaint against Margolies, Boyle called on his “millionaire opponents“ to release their tax returns and Arkoosh sent out a direct mail piece concerning Boyle’s stance on abortion.

Even after the poll question was posted last week, further controversy erupted at another candidate debate. In fact, Boyle even boycotted the event because of the sponsor’s support for Margolies. Finally, Leach released a TV ad hammering Boyle for supposedly not standing up for a woman’s right to choose.

Yet to our readers, it appears to be all fair game. 315 responded that they felt the campaign hadn’t gotten too negative, while only 177 readers voted that it had.
