Reichley Offers Condolences on Passing of Sen. O’Pake

EMMAUS – Rep. Doug Reichley (R-Berks/Lehigh) released this statement today on the passing of state Senator Michael A. O’Pake:

“Berks County, and indeed our entire Commonwealth, has lost a strong leader with the passing of Senator Michael O’Pake. With more than four decades of service in the Pennsylvania Legislature, he was a true public servant for his constituents. It was my honor to work together with him on local issues. It was rare to attend a public event with Senator O’Pake where he did not have a clutch of Pennsylvania state road maps to hand out but this was a testament to his constant devotion to his constituents, and he will be sorely missed by all Berks County residents.

“Communities across our region will certainly miss him. May his family and loved ones be comforted in their time of loss.”
