Remington: Casey Lead Shrinks as Trump Margin Over Biden Grows

Is President Joe Biden dragging down Democratic candidates?

That is the question after the president’s disastrous debate performance on June 27. And a look at Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race may provide the answer.

Remington Research, a GOP polling firm, surveyed a sample of 673 likely voters and found  Casey’s lead over Republican challenger Dave McCormick has shrunk to just one point, 49-48%.

This compares to an 5.8 percentage-point lead for the Democratic incumbent over the previous five surveys and a 6.5-point advantage in the 20 polls during 2024.

It should be noted that this is one of the first polls in the field since the presidential debate,

Former President Donald Trump holds a five-point lead over Biden in the presidential race, 48-43%. Remington notes that the survey has a +/-4 margin of error.

Notable. Remington does not provide toplines or crosstabs in the poll.

  1. Biden’s rough debate performance seems to be impacting Democratic candidates. 🗳️ Casey’s lead over McCormick narrows to just 1 point in PA Senate race. Meanwhile, Trump leads Biden by 5 points in the presidential race. 📊 #Election2024 #PoliticalShift

  2. This is a worthless piece of journalism by an equally worthless journalist. Where are the supporting facts? So no facts are given; what does the author use to substantiate his opinion? What does the author base his opinion on? Did he get financial remuneration for this lackluster revelation?

  3. Great to see! Dave McCormick is a great guy. Casey is a typical politician with little to no accomplishments.

  4. President Biden needs to step aside and give V.P. Harris his spot for the sake of the country for his honor and for his legacy–which he is only diminishing by not doing the right thing right now!

    1. Oh no we need to keep him in their until the end. I’ve never been a Biden supporter until now. Stand strong Joe.

    2. Oh no we need to keep him in there until the end. I’ve never been a Biden supporter until now. Stand strong Joe.
