Gov. Ed Rendell says an effort to negotiate a tax on natural gas extraction in Pennsylvania “clearly is dead” for the year.  The governor made the announcement in a news release issued Thursday, one day after his efforts to jump-start talks with senior lawmakers yielded little progress.  Click here to keep reading.
