Report: List of PA Officials Speaking At DNC Released

Some of Pennsylvania’s biggest name Democrats will be speaking at next week’s convention.

6abc is reporting that Governor Tom Wolf, Senator Bob Casey, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Congressmen Bob Brady and Brendan Boyle have all snagged speaking slots at the DNC.

Governor Wolf’s spokesman Jeffrey Sheridan confirmed to PoliticsPA that Wolf will be speaking. Congressman Boyle also affirmed the report as well.

“I am honored to have been selected by Secretary Clinton to speak at the DNC in my hometown of Philadelphia,” Boyle stated. “It is a unique opportunity to let the nation know why our party is clearly the better choice for the people of America. I look forward to touching upon the policies of the Democratic Party that make our country great and that move us forward as a nation.”

It is not clear yet when these officials will take the stage, though, as the full schedule has yet to be released. It also remains to be seen whether more PA natives will be added to the itinerary.

The Democratic National Convention will take place in Philadelphia from July 25th to 28th.

  1. 5 white men! You’d think they’d want to give a platform to Katie McGinty to boost her candidacy.

  2. As the mother of officers who were killed in the line of duty will not be represented nor speaking, I will not vote for Mrs Clinton even though I am a life long Democrat, shame. Our police need voices

  3. Be sure not to let Rendell speak. Never know what idiotic comment he will make.

  4. I assume Casey will be the last speaker of the night, as he is bound to put everyone to sleep better than a warm glass of milk.
