In a two-page brief, Pennsylvania Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-14) has introduced a bill that would rename Dulles International Airport in Virginia as “Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
Reschenthaler, who serves as the House GOP Chief Deputy Whip, has six GOP co-sponsors for House Bill 7845 which has been referred to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

“As millions of domestic and international travelers fly through the airport, there is no better symbol of freedom, prosperity, and strength than hearing ‘Welcome to Trump International Airport’ as they land on American soil,” Reschenthaler said in a statement.
Democrats were not as enthusiastic.
“Donald Trump is facing 91 felony charges. If Republicans want to name something after him, I’d suggest they find a federal prison,” said Rep. Gerry Connolly, a Democrat who represents part of Dulles.
Dulles opened in 1962 and was dedicated by President John F. Kennedy with former President Dwight D. Eisenhower in attendance. The airport’s main terminal is a regional landmark designed by Eero Saarinen, who also designed the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.
Dulles boasts the most international passenger traffic of any airport in the Mid-Atlantic outside the New York metropolitan area, according to the Department of Transpiration in 2016.

What the hell is wrong with these idiots. This is nothing more than an immature prank. You don’t name an airport after an individual who has divided…. NO…. RIPPED THIS COUNTRY APART. It would be more appropriate to name it after Jeffery Dahmer. History will not judge Trump in a good way.
Naming the other DC airport after Reagan was a reasonable respectful thing to do. He united the country and win 2 landslide elections and was a respected world leader. Trump has yet to win a popular vote and is view as a clown.
This Bill to name the Dulles Airport after Trump is outrageous. These Republicans are out of their minds trying to name anything after this criminal, insurrectionist, Classified Document Thief, corrupt violator of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, violator of Federal Election Campaign Finance Laws, & inept & incompetent public health handing of the Covid-19 Pandemic who is a puppet of Putin, XI, MBS and Kim Sung Un.
I used to think that this Congressman was reasonable. To have an airport named after a sexist, racist and dishonest grifter that has done more irreparable harm to this nation is a gargantuan insult. Trump is a national disgrace and an international embarrassment. Hopefully, this ridiculous effort will die on the vine.
