RNC, Trump Campaign Reach 2 Million Voters in PA Since Switching to Digital Campaign

The Republican National Committee and President Donald Trump’s campaign are touting the amount of voters reached in Pennsylvania since moving their operation 100% online.

According to a joint release from the RNC and the Trump campaign, Trump Victory has now reached over 2.1 million voters in the Keystone state since transitioning to a 100% virtual campaign in March, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The Trump Victory team has made 10 million voter contacts nationwide since the switch to digital campaigning.

They also specifically boasted about connecting with nearly 775,000 voters in Pennsylvania last week alone during their “National Week of Action.”

“Pennsylvania Trump Victory continues to define the 21st century campaign, transitioning to a 100% virtual campaign in just 24 hours without missing a beat. Our growing army of volunteers continues to dominate, reaching over 775,000 Pennsylvanians just last week, and over 2.1 million since March,” said RNC Spokesperson Michael Joyce. “With a field team this strong, Trump Victory will ensure that Pennsylvania once again delivers its 20 electoral votes to President Trump.”

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party fired back at the numbers released by the RNC and Trump campaign and pointed to the amount of Democrats in the state signing up to vote-by-mail.

“That’s a lot of talk with very little to show for it. Over 1.2 million Pennsylvanians have signed up to vote by mail and almost 900,000 of them are Democrats,” said Andres Anzola, PA Democratic Party Deputy Communications Director. “Either their campaign efforts are totally ineffective or this is a bunch of hot air.”

The Trump Victory operation in Pennsylvania is led by Brittney Robinson, Pennsylvania state director, and the 60 plus staffers on the ground participating in these virtual events. The RNC and Trump campaign say that they have activated nearly 13,000 volunteers in the state, including over 4,220 since transitioning to the 100% virtual operation in March.

The RNC and Trump campaign say that when reaching voters they are sharing Trump’s campaign message, coupled with “critical updates” on COVID-19.

Both parties have boosted their effort of reaching voters through digital means since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Nearly two weeks ago, the PA Democratic Party, Shapiro for Pennsylvania, the Democratic National Committee, and the Democratic Attorneys General Association announced that they reached one million voters in the state by their coordinated vote-by-mail texting programs.

  1. As usual, Diano is off-base, mind-reading when he should be reluctantly-admitting.

    DR. Bob-

“He was pushed/forced to make a completely insincere statement about racism, and pretended he was referring to the statute as a deflection/diversion. After being forced to make a statement, he undercut it subsequently. (Don’t forget, his daddy was a member of the Klan.)”

Trump unequivocally condemned the white racists and consistently referred to the statue [watch your typo] as the rationale for the application for the Saturday protest; whether or not Trump’s father was in the KKK is irrelevant and, indeed, left to be documented [along with the rest of your wild assumptions].

“Trump isn’t pro-Israel. He’s anti-Muslim and is happy that Netanyahu favors genocide in Palestine and a war with Iran. He pretends he likes Jews just like he pretends he’s religious, prays and reads the Bible. He’s conning the Jews who believe “Israel right-or-wrong” by praising the Israeli right-wing.”

As Reagan famously said, “There you go again” with your anti-Semitism; you project what may be your secularism upon him, unable to afford him the space to be as faith-based as he would wish [along with his wife]; his policies have indubitably been pro-Israel, hoping the non-Islamist Arab states will someday see the light … and continue to link with Israeli values [which, unlike those of Iran, don’t entail efforts to promote anti-LGB policies, for example].

  2. Say it aint so Joe said ” You aint black if you support the other guy “

    1. At least he didn’t say: Oreo

But, the gist is true and clear: if you are black and supporting Trump, you are undermining yourself and all other blacks, because Trump is promoting white supremacy.

        1. Dr Bob-

I you recall, when the marchers in Charlottesville were chanting: “Jews will not replace us.” Trump said there were good people on both sides.

There were no good people making that chant.

          1. Correct, and he specifically disclaimed support for the racists during the press conference he held the following Monday; he was referring to the controversy regarding the removal of the statue, as you know.

Just like your guy Biden, you remain an anti-Israel racist.

  3. The Trump digital campaign is completely pathetic.

3 times a day, I get emails (that assume I am a Trump supporter = patriot).

The emails frequently claim that sender had a conversation with Trump where Trump asked for me by name because he noticed that I hadn’t donated yet, and was surprised.

Also, the emails offer up some stupid campaign crap like mugs or doormats.. claiming there are only 50 left, so donate before they run out. (Despite the obvious that there are thousands of these things.. and probably made in China)

Here is one I got while I was writing this. How stupid do you have to be to believe that this is only going to 100 people, and Trump picked you?

I’m pleased to present you with this invitation to join the Trump 100 Club. I’ve only selected 100 Patriots in the entire Nation to join this prestigious club, and YOU are one of them.

    months.

    1. Yea I got trumps email along wit several of my co workers– we sent a nice response back– GFY.

  4. “Both parties have boosted their effort of reaching voters through digital means since the coronavirus pandemic began.”

Pivotal will be how the politicians BUILD upon these databases; electronic communications are best perceived as a means-to-an-end rather than as an end-upon-themselves.

Notwithstanding comments from the above coterie of Never-Trumpers note what J.D. Mullane just wrote [Bucks County Courier Times columnist]: “Before coronavirus, the presidential race was about a future of prosperity v. socialism, an easy win for Trump. Now it’s about a future of freedom v. tyranny, an easier win for Trump. Wouldn’t be surprised if after a historic defeat, college educated white progressives determine that elections are a threat to democracy.”

    1. Typical projection.

Make up nonsense about progressives hypothetically cancelling elections when Georgia Republicans actually cancelled an election so they could fill the position themselves without the people’s vote.

Make up nonsense about extremely rare mail-in/absentee ballot fraud when North Carolina Republicans ran an illegal ballot harvesting and ballot tampering campaign.

The doctor doth protest too much.

      1. Thus, you should have no problem complying with what The Donald desires, no ballot harvesting and lotsa Voter-ID, right?

  5. And yet they’re still down in the polls. Biden is largely absent from the scene and he’s consistently ahead in PA by 6-8 points. It’s almost as if people have already decided that we can’t afford another four years of this mess.

    1. We can’t afford another 6 months of this mess but unfortunately we have to wait until November 3rd to flush that ignorant disgusting orange turd.

      1. The Donald will defeat Alzheimer-Pick Beijing-Joe, assuming he hasn’t been supplanted by then [or jailed along with his extended family for either/both corruption/fondling].

  6. Weird how 90,000 deaths under Trump’s incompetent handling of pandemic are never mentioned by him.

  7. The PA GOP has been having all sorts of staffing issues. These numbers must include digital ads.

Look at the numbers from the 2018 election. Trump is toast in PA. He just barely eeked out a win in 2016. No smart GOP operative would work in PA in 2020, there is no upside.

  8. Do by “reach” does GOP mean those damn robocalls that I hang up on? Or those online ads polluting FB that I delete as my contempt for Trump grows daily?

  9. I bet you a nickel those numbers include views of digital ads, which isn’t to say it’s not important, but those numbers aren’t as impactful as like door knocking traditionally would be (see Dems one-million texts).
