Nutter takes a mid-routine phone call from Bill Cosby

Last night was Daily News Columnist Stu Bykofsky’s 21st annual Candidates’ Comedy Night in Philadelphia, which has raised over $400,000 for children’s charities. Almost all of the Philadelphia candidates came out on the town. Flash mobs, DROP, and Rick Mariano were all popular topics, and PoliticsPA will continue to update this story as we upload videos.

First up, fresh from his trip to Rio De Janeiro, Mayor Michael Nutter teased about his recent flash mob speech at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church, the attention he’s been receiving.

“Can I get an Amen!” he yelled as he took the mic.

“Oops, wrong speech.”

He also took a “call” in the middle of his routine from another Philadelphian famous for talking bluntly about race.

“Yeah Mr. Cosby, I gave the speech.”

PS. Before you complain about the constant, high-pitched noise, know that there was something wrong with the sound system at the event and it played incessantly all. night. long.
