SD-37: Heather Arnet Receives Endorsement from SEIU

ArnetHeather Arnet is gaining labor support in the race for the 37th State Senate District, recently receiving an endorsement from the Pennsylvania State Council of the Service Employees International Union.

“Now more than ever, working families need strong champions in the state Senate. In the 37th District, that champion is no doubt Heather Arnet,” said Gabe Morgan, President of the SEIU Pennsylvania State Council and Pennsylvania Director of SEIU 32BJ. “Heather will fight for good wages, quality public schools and holding big corporations accountable to our community. She is exactly the kind of leader that we need to get the commonwealth back on track.”

Along with Morgan, the SEIU Pennsylvania State Council leadership is comprised of Neal Bisno, Council Secretary-Treasurer and President of SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania, Tom Herman, President of SEIU Local 668, and David Melman, Manager of the PA Joint Board of Workers United.

“I have spent the past 12 years fighting for policies that support the needs of working families and the middle class,” Arnet responded. “During that time, I’ve worked alongside SEIU on many common issues, including paid sick and family leave and the Fight for $15 campaign to raise the minimum wage. I am honored and humbled to receive SEIU’s endorsement and look forward to continuing our collaborative and supportive relationship.”

The 37th district includes parts of Allegheny and Washington Counties. Guy Reschenthaler is the Republican nominee. The election will be held on November 3, 2015.

  1. IN Heather’s TV ADD IT SAYS HIGH PROPERTY TAXES FORCING SENIORS OUT OF THEIR HOMES. MOST COUNTIES HAVE PROGRAMS MARKING SENIORS SO THAT THEY DO NOT LOSE THEIR HOMES I SUGGEST SHE CHECK COUNTIES TO SEE HOW MANY SENIORS HAVE LOST THEIR HOMES. ALSO, SENIORS ALSO RECEIVE A REBATE THAT THEY CAN FILE FOR TO HELP.
    THANK YOU

  2. SEIU, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Party bosses’ endorsements immediately disqualifies the person as one of my selected viable candidates.
