The PA Dems ran an online contest for their candidates in PA’s 18 congressional districts. The winner: Missa Eaton, challenging Rep. Mike Kelly. The prize: a fundraising email likely worth a few thousand bucks.
Larry Maggi’s campaign has made time for TV, reserving $495,000 in air time this fall in the Pittsburgh market. Maggi is challenging GOP Rep. Tim Murphy in PA-18. Murphy has over $1M on hand to use, although he has not yet announced plans for an ad campaign.

Q2 figures are in and the congressional race in PA-6 is likely to remain competitive. Jim Gerlach raised a healthy $341K to Manan Trivedi’s $260K, though he has more COH than any other Dem challenger in the state.
Phil Scollo has gained a bit of ground in fundraising against Rep. Tom Marino, but still faces a huge deficit in the GOP-friendly 10th district. The Democratic businessman raked in over $60,000 in the second quarter; Marino pulled in just under $100,000.
Q2 fundraising totals from PA-8 candidates Kathy Boockvar and incumbent Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick weren’t far apart. While Fitzpatrick raised more than his opponent, $395,501 to $329,802, both candidates had an impressive quarter.
