The Pennsylvania Democratic Party can start to breath a sigh of relief. Their endorsed candidate, Bucks County Attorney Kathryn Boockvar, appears to be on the verge of victory over Pittsburgh Attorney Barbara Ernsberger.

Rich Fitzgerald won with 66,123 votes to Mark Flaherty’s 52,558. With 56% of the vote, Fitzgerald was clearly favored by 12% more of the county’s voters.

Raja cruised to a big victory last night in Allegheny County, and he’s already preparing to take on the Democrats this fall.

The Luzerne County Council races are likely to get only slightly less hectic after Dems and Republicans select 11 candidates each.

With 97.78 percent of precincts reporting the Democratic primary election for district two is deadlocked with State Representative Kenyatta Johnson receiving 7,435 votes to Real Estate Agent and Community Organizer Barbara Copozzi’s 7,363 votes, leaving the election too close to call.

With 96 percent of precincts reporting, President of the Whitman Council Mark Squilla has won the City Council district one Democratic primary election receiving a total of 7,435 votes, topping Executive Director of CeasefirePA Joe Grace with 4,009 votes, Community Organizer Jeff Hornstein with 3,390 votes and last, Attorney Vern Anastasio with 2,761 votes.

City Commission candidate Stephanie Singer has long been critical of the City of Philadelphia’s inability to maintain a public online database of election results. As of Tuesday night, it appears she’ll have at least four years to bring the City’s E-Day technological savvy up to speed.

Possible racism in the GOP Exec race. “Why are you guys supporting a Muslim?” some voters ask Raja supports working the polls.
