Sen. Pat Toomey’s decision to not seek a third term opened the floodgates of Democratic U.S. Senate hopefuls. The field is still forming, but chatter about the pivotal seat is well underway among politicos.
60% of registered Republicans polled said that they are undecided for the Governor primary between five potential candidates. Former Congressman Lou Barletta leads the way with 20%.
The Frederick Polling data shows that both Biden and Trump secure over 90% of the vote from their respective parties, although Biden holds a 12 point lead, 56%-to-44%, among Independent voters in the state.
Biden remains the preferred candidate to handle the coronavirus pandemic, while Trump has the advantage on managing the economy in the Pennsylvania polling.
Biden leads Trump among suburban voters (55-to-36), and urban voters (57-to-36), while Trump has the advantage over Biden with rural voters (65-to-31).
A majority of registered voters in the state disapprove of Trump’s handling of the presidency and his response to COVID-19, while a majority of voters approve of his handling of the economy.
