Gov. Tom Wolf’s appointed Redistricting Reform Commission released its findings thus far that show Pennsylvanians think the state’s redistricting process needs improvements and lacks transparency. Here is the Playbook.
August 30th Ups & Downs: The collaborative effort of a newsroom holding Harrisburg accountable is announced, a Congressman and county party unfairly accuse a local paper of being a fake news corporation, and a trending GOP county fails to field a candidate for Coroner. All of that and more are in this week’s Ups and Downs.

Redistricting is a disgrace and everyone in and around politics as well as good government supporters knows that but not one thing ever happens. Lots and lots and lots of gas bag proclamations by politicians and everyone blaming everyone else for no changes ever happening. Turzai and King Scarnati were super excited to cut benefits of state employees with their “pension reform” but their passion GREATY cools when it comes to redistricting commissions. Does anyone think for a moment that King Scarnati and Turzai would be inactive on redistricting commission if they believed in this reform??? There is absolutely no reason at all in any way not to have a redistricting commission,
“Pennsylvanians think the state’s redistricting process needs improvements and lacks transparency”
I’ll file that under, “No sh*t, Sherlock.”
