Seth Williams Will Not Seek Re-Election

WilliamsPhiladelphia District Attorney Seth Williams will not continue his bid for re-election.  He has been rumored to be under FBI investigation and had a record fine levied against him by the Philadelphia Ethics Board.

“I have let you down,” Williams said during a press conference, according to Billy Penn.

“I have made regrettable mistakes in my personal life and personal financial life that cast an unnecessary shadow” over the work of the District Attorney’s Office, Williams said Friday according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The race for Philadelphia District Attorney will be the main focus in Philadelphia this year.  The field of candidates for the Democratic primary now includes Judge Teresa Carr Deni, Michael Untermeyer, Joe Khan, and Rich Negrin.

  1. Real BREAKING fake news just heard from the voice in stall 3 at the 30th street station men’s room:
Seth will rat out Johnny Doc
Johnny Doc will rat out Godfather Zappala
Godfather Zappala will rat out Fumo…again
Fumo will escape through his cell toilet and steal all of the cash for kids money buried in New Jersey
The Feds will scratch their (dick)heads and walk off
Seth will win on a write in

  2. All you Demoncrats can write your libtard DA man at Club Fed! Enjoy lockup pally! Filthadelphia, the most corrupt city in Pennsylvania outside of Harrisburg. He thought he couldn’t be touched because he is a negro. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

  3. Just like I told you Friday, Tariq is running. Bungy NEVER wrong. Bonus TEASER, BIG indictments within 5 weeks. BOOK IT.

  4. williams seems too incredibly corrupt or stupid to ever win another election. good riddance.

  5. Now can we FINALLY have an investigation into how he framed Kathleen Kane? The life of an ethical, innocent woman who devoted her life to public service has been ruined by Seth Williams’s lies!

  6. Glad we are finally getting rid of this piece of sh*t DA.

The consensus opinion at state committee was that Seth must have gotten some seriously bad news about his case in the past day or two. Of course, his case was bad news from the start.

This is a significant shake-up that turns the race from “who can beat Seth?” (anyone will do) into “who would actually be the best DA?”

  7. Good choice Seth Williams of not seeking reelection because I did supported for someone else in the race and not yourself.

  8. The better way to avoid trouble is to follow our design in the west. We put in our own U.S.Attorney then send him or HER after our enemies.

  9. I think we’re way past the target letter. At least one of the grand juries turns 18 months any day now – August 2015 was the first mention. Sources of bigtrial are suggesting a Tuesday indictment. Tuesday is the first day to circulate petitions.

  10. Ain’t gonna be no deal. My guess received a target letter. Seth will cooperate in the upcoming RICO trials of you know who and his henchman on council. In return nothing but the satisfaction that he puts the nail in the coffin that put one in his!

  11. He’s sticking by the “nobody got any favors” line. There’s another shoe that hasn’t dropped.

  12. Looks like the Feds gave Seth the same deal as Pgh mayor lurid Luke…drop out and we won’t indict.
